Exciting developments have brought the Martin clan to the beautiful state of Utah, where Stephen recently started a new position as percussion adjunct faculty at Brigham Young University. Although he frequently returns to Missouri as a percussion sub with the Kansas City Symphony. 2022 saw the release of a new album by Ryan Gee--A Guide For the Perplexed, featuring Martin on drums/percussion.
In 2023, he premiered his new work, Suite de Virtuosite--a setting of three of Moritz Moszkowski's 15 Virtuosic Etudes, Op. 72, arranged for marimba solo and wind ensemble, which he performed with the William Jewell College Wind Ensemble. And in 2024, Martin presented a percussion recital, and appeared as a featured soloist with the Liberty Summer Band (videos of each below).
